Professor Dr Fr Philip Gibbs SVD is the new Deputy President of Divine Word University, Papua New Guinea.
Prof Gibbs will take-over from current Deputy President Professor Pamela Norman PhD on 1 September 2019 and will serve for three years.
President of DWU Professor Cecilia Nembou PhD informed the University Community today the announcement by the Chairperson of the DWU Council Archbishop Douglas Young SVD.
The Chair made the announcement at the recent Council Meeting in Wewak.
Prof Gibbs is currently Vice President Research and Higher Degrees.
Prof Norman who has been the Deputy President for the last three and half years will continue in her role as Vice President Academic and Professor of Education.
