Member for Yangoru-Saussia District, Hon. Richard Maru made a visit this week to Kubalia to inspect the progress of several projects happening in Kubalia Secondary School. The projects which he inspected were the construction of two new dormitories and a mess for the school.
These projects were funded by the districts at a cost of K1 million, and is being managed and implemented by the Department of Works – Wewak, with the use of local labour. According to Maru, the district is determined to have these facilities opened for use in 2020 academic year.
The district has also assisted the school with a school truck that was bought at a cost of K200,000 to support the school in its transport needs.
Meanwhile Maru said they are working on a design for a new Water Supply Project that will be used to supply water to Kubalia Town as well as the schools.
