Police in the East New Britain Province have detained a grade 5 male student after he allegedly killed his older brother.
According to police reports the boy slashed his older brother’s neck with a kitchen knife at home.
Police say the boy was watching his older brother argue with their father and suddenly turned on his brother without warning stabbing him several times.
East New Britain Provincial Police Commander, Chief Inspector Joseph Tabali said the young man was rushed to the Nonga Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr. Tabal has issued a strong warning to the people in East New Britain not to use knives or other dangerous weapons during arguments.
