Trukai Industries has donated 600 kilograms of rice to the YWAM Medical Ship to help with their health outreach programs to Western Province in the coming weeks. This is the second donation this year from Trukai to YWAM. The first donation was done earlier in April in Port Moresby.

Trukai Industries realises the importance of providing basic health care to our rural population and has been supporting YWAM with rice donation over the years in Port Moresby and in Lae recently.

The rice will be used to provision the ship where they have volunteers assisting as doctors, nurses, dentists with outreaches to some of the remote areas of PNG where it’s only accessible by a boat or canoe.

The YWAM Medical Ship provides primary health care, dental care, optical services, vaccination and tuberculosis treatment amongst others in its rural outreach programs. The staff and volunteers on-board the YWAM Medical Ship were delighted to receive the rice donation yesterday from Trukai staff and thank Trukai Industries for the ongoing support.
